ITINERARY
 

Day 01: - Arrive Delhi

Meet and Greet at Delhi, later proceed to hotel and Overnight in Delhi.

 

Day 02: - Delhi

Your private guided tour of the capital today highlights the remarkable contrast between Old and New Delhi. Your excursion includes the Jama Masjid, the largest Friday mosque in India. From here we suggest a walk in the heart of Old Delhi - a great way to absorb the sights and sounds. You will also see the monumental buildings set along wide boulevards of Lutyens` New Delhi, including India Gate and the President`s residence. Overnight in Delhi.

 

Day 03 :- Delhi  - Varanasi (Banaras)(Fly)
Morning transfer to airport to board flight for Varanasi. Arrive at Varanasi & transfer to the hotel. Overnight Varanasi.

 

Day 04:- Varanasi 
Morning boat excursion on the river Ganges. People bathe early in the morning to offer prayers to the rising sun. The two cremation ghats are Manikarnika & Harishchandra where funeral pyre burns Day and night. Every pious Hindu believes that to die in Kashi and to be cremated on banks of the Ganges is to attain release from the cycle of birth and death. Overnight Varanasi.

 

Day 05 :- Varanasi - Khajuraho(Fly)
Morning city tour. The Khajuraho temples were built by the Chandela kings between 950 AD and 1050 AD. The most important are the Chaunset Yogini Temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, The Mahadev Temple, Chitragupta or Bharatji Temple with a lovely image of 11 headed Vishnu, Vishvanath and Nandi Temples, Lakshmana Temple, Visha Temple of Shiva, which is the largest & most typical of temples. Visit the Eastern group of temples that consist of the Parasvanath Temple - the only Jain Temple surviving at Khajuraho and has excellent sculptures on the outer walls of the Sanctum, the Javeri Temple dedicated to Vishnu. The other temples in this group are those dedicated to Brahma, Yamuna, and Adinath. Overnight Khajuraho.

 

Day 06 :- Khajuraho – Jhansi (Drive) – Agra (Train)

This morning you will rise early and drive to Jhansi later transfer to the train station to board your express train to Agra. Here you will enjoy a guided tour of the city. You will also see the Red Fort, where Shah Jehan spent the last few years of his life imprisoned here by his son, looking across the Yamuna River at his accomplished Taj Mahal, and I`tma-ud-daulah, sometimes known as the "Baby Taj".

 

Day 07:- Agra - Jaipur

This morning you will have a guided visit to the legendary Taj Mahal, built as a memorial to the wife of Shah Jehan for sunrise. You will then drive from Agra to Jaipur stopping en route to visit Fatehpur Sikri, the enigmatic and beautiful deserted capital of Emperor Akbar which was abandoned when water supplies dried up.

 

Day 08:- Jaipur

Full day sightseeing in and around the `Pink City` of Jaipur. In the morning you will visit the magnificent Amber Palace with your guide. Capital of the Kachhawaha Rajputs until 1727, this fort complex can be ascended on elephant back and there are great views from the top. Later, back in Jaipur, you will discover the treasures of the City Palace which houses an important museum, the intricate facade of The Palace of the Winds, and the fascinating observatory.

 

Day 09:- Jaipur - Deogarh

Majestic royalty revisited! Deogarh was a feudal estate in Mewar, the premier state of Rajasthan. Their chieftains were titled Rawat's (feudal barons) and their estates were called ‘thikanas’. The thikana of Deogarh lies on the border of Mewar, Marwar, and Merwara and is an authentic Rajasthani village experience.

 

 

Day 10:- Deogarh – Udaipur

Continue south by road traveling through the scenic Aravalli Hills to Udaipur. Enroot visit Ranakpur ruins and indulge in village life, meet and see rural India at the grass-root level.

 

Day 11:- Udaipur

This morning you have a tour of the vast City Palace, Udaipur's narrow and charming streets, and the relaxing Sahelyon ki Bari gardens. In the afternoon you have a cookery class and a meal with a local family. Enjoy the evening and overnight in Udaipur.

 

Day 12 Udaipur – Delhi (Fly)

An early start, you will fly to Delhi and proceed to the hotel. Enjoy the afternoon for shopping and free time, later enjoy Private massage sessions and, a wonderful way to end a memorable journey through North India.

 

Day 13:- Delhi – Take international connection.

This day after breakfast drive to Delhi international airport and take your onward international connection.

15th April until 15th September every year is considered LOW season, and 16th September until 14th April every year is HIGH season for India.

 

NOTE: During the LOW season the flights from Varanasi and Khajuraho are limited and often fly in few days of the week.
